Public Procurement Checklist

This document is designed by the NPPPU to provide a basic checklist covering the steps in a normal procurement cycle, from identifying and specifying a need to awarding a contract. It is particularly useful for anyone who is new to procurement or buys infrequently. You can 'tick off' each step as it is completed.

While the specifics of each procurement will be different, this checklist aims to provide a general reminder list to those required to undertake a procurement process.

Topics: need, specification, cost, approval, funding, procurement strategy, procedure, Request for Tender (RFT), submission of tenders, tender documents, open tenders, Clarify, Evaluation, Notifying, Debriefing, unsuccessful, tax clearance certificates, Award, Publish, notice
